On this day in “unknown date”, National Maple Syrup Day was established. Canada is the number one producer of maple syrup pulling in over 5 million gallons per year. We can thank our North American Natives for being the first to boil the sap and create such loveliness and sharing this craft with area settlers.
Today, there are several craft breweries using maple syrup in their beer recipes. More than I can count, but here are a few of Inky Beer’s favorites. Have a great National Maple Syrup Day!
Tommyknocker Brewery: Maple Nut Brown Ale
The Bruery: Autumn Maple Belgian Style Brown Ale
The Boston Beer Company: Sam Adams Sample B Maple Pecan Porter
Coalition Brewing Company: Loving Cup Maple Porter
Founders Brewing Company: CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout) Imperial Stout Ale
Rogue Brewery: Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale
Rock Art Brewery: Vermont Maple Wheat Ale
