Inky Beer Factoid: November 15


On this day in 1901, an unknown London brewer produced a beer that was supper hoppy and black with absolutely no of roasted malts.  This was a KK style beer.  Massachusetts brewery, Pretty Things resurrected this 7.8% beer and dubbed it as KK – part of the Once Upon a Time series.  A KK style beer classification was one given by those hundreds of years ago but then later referred to as Strong Ales, but if you were to classify it today, then this beer might surely be classified as a Black IPA.
