Inky Beer Factoid: October 7

On this day in 2003, hip-hop sensation, Ludacris, releases his album, “Chicken-N-Beer”.

This double platinum album features several Billboard chart hits.  Luda’s highly sexed and highly political songs were targeted by Fox News conservatives which, in turn, urged PepsiCo to drop their endorsement deal.  However, Luda responded to the attacks of Fox’s Bill O’Reilly with “Blow It Out” and “Hoes In My Room”.

Yes… soft drink companies can be just that… soft, and as for Bill O’Reilly, you’ll have to decide on that one.  But never fear, beer companies can handle it!  Heineken Beer gladly embraced Ludacris at the 2009 Heineken Red Star Soul concert in Toronto.  This concert celebrates quality music and entertainment.
