Inky Beer Factoid: September 15


On this day in 1957, the Andrews Sisters appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show (Season 9, Episode 51).  The Andrews Sisters were quite a popular trio of the swing and boogie-woogie era.  They sang with the likes of Bing Crosby and performed in Abbott-Costello comedy films.  But if that doesn’t jog your memory just a bit, you are sure to recognize some of the tunes that made them famous such as the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B”, “Chattanooga Choo Choo” and our personal favorites here at Inky Beer, “Beer Barrel Polka” and “More Beer”!
