On this day in 1969, Jimi Hendrix and the Band of Gypsys played as the final act at Woodstock in New York.
Jimi was known to be a big beer lover and enjoyed a vast variety of cold brews.
He was so admired as a phenomenal musician, that Louisiana’s Abita Brewing Company was inspired to create a Raspberry Wheat Beer called “Purple Haze” to commemorate his triumphs.
Regardless, with a name like “Purple Haze”, how could you NOT think of Jimi Hendrix?!
