Beer Factoid: July 2



On this day in 1939, Theodore Roosevelt’s face was dedicated on Mount Rushmore.


Now, Teddy wasn’t known to drink much, just an occasional Mint Julep, but he did understand the power of beer and used it to boost morale among his Rough Riders.

There was one point when he ordered his men to dismount and then said, “The men can go and drink all the beer they want, which I will pay for!”  No wonder everyone loved him! iroughr001p1
