Untappd is a new way to socially share and explore the world of beer with your friends and the world. Curious what your friends are drinking or where they’re hanging out? Just check their profile where you can toast and comment on their beers! Untappd will offer you beer recommendations based on what you and your friends have been enjoying, so you’ll have no reason to not try something new! As additional encouragement, Untappd allows you to earn a number of cool badges for completing a variety of different criteria.
BeerBuddy ($3.99): For iOs
Beer Buddy allows you to use your device’s camera to scan UPCs (barcodes) from beer bottles, cans, and cases, to obtain vital information pertaining to that particular beer. Discover history, alcohol content, user reviews, the brewery behind the beer, and much more all from scanning a barcode. If it happens that your beer has not been found via barcode scanning, add it to our vast database or search for it by name. This data base also includes: Ratebeer.com integration, Beer Finder, Places, Beers on Tap, and Favorites List.

The Brewing Assistant from Brewology101.com is an app for assisting in the brewing of your beer. It helps you build your own recipes by calculating your recipe’s IBUs, SRM, OG, FG, and ABV while you build your recipe. Both US customary and metric are supported.
The Brewing Assistant will also synchronize your recipes to the Brewology101.com Ale Abacus where you can then edit and delete your recipes or create new recipes. Once you’re ready to brew, the Brewing Assistant will help you with your mash and your boil. The mash reminder will alert you to stir your mash at the interval you set in the Settings. The boil reminder will alert you to add your ingredients at the times you specified in your recipe.
