Here is a beer Review for Dogfish Head’s Sah’tea, an ale brewed with Black Chai Tea and Juniper Berries, reviewed on October 7, 2012.
Appearance
This beer pours golden orange with a medium firm head, SRM would be between 10-11. Has small bits of spice (?) and other things floating about in the glass.
Smell/Aroma
Tea, spices, oranges, weizen-like yeast
Taste
This beer tastes like an Imperial Weizen (a style I am not sure exists yet; like a Weizen with double the ingredients and taste), oranges, spices, with a secondary taste of orange tea
Mouthfeel
Medium bodies mouthfeel, thicker than I expected for the amount of carbonation
Overall
I would recommend this beer as a special treat to beer drinkers that like orange flavors and extra citrusy weizens, hefeweizens, and flavorful wheats. A sweet treat, indeed.
